Small Writing Groups
Most small writing groups (SWGs) meet once a month at a member’s home, with a focus on providing reading opportunities and supportive critique. Currently, our all-genre group on Tuesday afternoons has space for one more member. The children’s lit group, Glacier Writers group, Lundiaries, poetry group, eclectic group, and second all-genre group are full. There is interest in starting a group for mystery writers.

Silent Writing Groups
Members may also join our weekly CVWS in-person drop-in silent writing groups every Wednesday (12:00-2:00 p.m.) and Friday (1:00-3:00 p.m.) at Bean Around the World, 2104 Cliffe Ave. No advance notice necessary. Work on a project in community with others away from distractions of home. Those wishing to socialize should come early or stay late but respect the quiet writing time. In support of the venues, if you do not purchase food or drink, please donate to the tip jar.
For early birds who enjoy their home environment, join our early bird zoom silent writing group every Wednesday (7:30-10 a.m.). You must register in advance to receive the zoom invite. To join, contact the Small Writing Groups co-ordinator through the contact page on the website.
