Meetings
The Comox Valley Writers Society (CVWS) meets on the third Thursday of each month from September to June, at the Bayside Café at #5 – 2760 Cliffe Ave. (across from the Driftwood Mall). Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
(Note: No meeting in January when we hold our Annual North Island Writers Conference.)
Agenda: a brief business meeting, including any recent successes from our members, followed by our Guest Speaker and member readings. Guests are welcome to attend.

Book Launches & Readings
CVWS supports members who are holding book
launches and readings.
CVWS member is responsible for:

Booking a venue for the event

Creating publicity materials (eg. Write ups for mass media platforms, poster, etc.)
CV Writers Society is responsible for:

Providing financial assistance to a maximum of $50 (The author must have been a CVWS member for at least six months.)

Publicize the member’s book launch event in the monthly newsletter, on Facebook and on the website. (Member is responsible for sending the information to be published to the appropriate board member.)
